If you are looking for a personalized approach to your health, more face time with your doctor and/or want to get to the root of your health concern then naturopathic medicine is the right fit for you. Our in-house physician Dr. Lovink is thorough in her assessment, evidence-based in her diagnosis & treatment and compassionate in her approach.
Additionally, Dr. Lovink—Geometry’s in-house naturopathic physician—holds certification in Prescriptive Authority & Intravenous Therapy, which allows her to both manage & prescribe certain medication and administer intravenous nutrient therapy.
Although seeing a doctor is often prompted out of a health concern, Naturopathic medicine is also uniquely suited for those who simply want to optimize their health (energy, longevity, reduce future risk of diseases, nutritional status, etc).
In seeing a Naturopathic Doctor you can expect a thorough assessment (initial visits are 60 minutes in length), an evidence-based approach to diagnosis and treatment, and a treatment plan that involves an individualized blend of nutrition, supplements, botanicals, and lifestyle counselling.
Your initial visit is a 60-minute appointment during which Dr. Lovink will take a thorough health history.
Since objective data is an important aspect of getting to the root cause of your health concern, Dr. Lovink will also discuss what laboratory testing would be most appropriate.
Basic laboratory testing (through Lifelabs) is a key component of your health assessment, therefore if you have had any laboratory work done in the past 6 months please bring these to your first appointment.
Follow-up appointments vary in cost depending on the nature of the health concern.
Naturopathic visits are covered under your extended medical insurance. The amount varies depending on your provider; please contact them directly to determine your coverage.
We also offer direct billing for most insurance companies—click here to view list of eligible providers. Please inquire at the front desk to confirm we are set-up for your provider.
