Megan enjoys working with chronic pain, chronic pain conditions, athletes and improving functional goals. She hopes to facilitate her patients in their search for a healthy and pain-free lifestyle by treating a variety of musculoskeletal dysfunctions and injuries. In a treatment with Megan, you can expect a specific focus on your personal goals. She likes to include general Swedish massage, myofascial release techniques and trigger point therapy. Megan likes to incorporate active movements and stretching into treatment as well. Patient education and home care that is specifically tailored to each individual is very important for Megan and her practice. While she enjoys working with deeper pressure, she also sees the value in using massage for stress reduction and treatment of chronic and systemic conditions such as fibromyalgia or systemic lupus.
Since she was young, Megan has led an active life which piqued her interest in human anatomy and physiology. Specific interests include soccer, weightlifting, basketball, volleyball, and boxing. Megan used massage therapy growing up for maintenance, injury prevention, and alleviation of chronic pain which is what drove her towards pursuing it as a career.
