After collecting the patient’s medical history, then performing an examination and establishing a diagnosis, a chiropractor can develop and carry out a comprehensive treatment/management plan, recommend therapeutic exercise and other non-invasive therapies, and provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counselling.
Care focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and the effects these disorders have on the function of the nervous system and general health. Chiropractic treatments allows for the full development of the body’s own ability to heal and the chiropractor is responsible for facilitating and expediting that healing process.
*Chiropractic care may also be used to provide symptomatic relief for patients with chronic conditions.
It is a good idea to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for your visit to the chiropractor.
