Brayln is a registered acupuncturist with the CTCMA of British Columbia. She graduated with magna cum laude distinction from Pacific Rim College in Victoria and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of British Columbia.
Brayln was introduced to acupuncture while recovering from severe burn-out after university. Her first acupuncture treatment created such a powerful internal shift that a spark of curiosity quickly grew into passionate inquiry and study of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Her clinical experience involves working within private and community acupuncture clinics at Pacific Rim College and the Victoria Native Friendship Center. With community care as an integral value to her practice, she brings a curious mind and willingness to listen to the stories of her patients. She believes that systemic change begins at the individual level; and that individuals creating internal shifts within themselves sets the stage for a more beautiful world. In this way, acupuncture is a powerful tool for change.
Her professional interests include mental and emotional well-being, stress and burn-out management, sleep disorders, concussion recovery, pain management, addiction recovery, and psychedelic preparation and integration.
Brayln holds additional training and certifications in facial rejuvenation acupuncture including ‘acusculpting’, TCM facial diagnosis, anatomy of facial expression, and biomedical approaches to treating facial conditions with acupuncture. Her approach to skin-care and facial rejuvenation acupuncture is rooted in mental and emotional well-being.
Brayln brings her experience as a reiki pracitioner, yoga teacher, and life-long student of the natural world to her work. When not in the clinic, she is likely out exploring the outdoors, dancing with her friends, or enjoying a quiet night at home.
