Kalen is a registered physical therapist who takes an individualized and problem-solving approach, and utilizes primarily hands-on techniques to help his patients manage their pain so they can return to the meaningful activities in their lives. Specializing in orthopaedics, Kalen’s strengths are comprised of manual therapy, movement optimization, functional exercise and intramuscular stimulation (IMS).
Kalen is a graduate from the University of British Columbia, where he received his Master’s of Physical Therapy following a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology. Prior to his postgraduate degree, Kalen worked as a registered kinesiologist specializing in strength and conditioning, sport performance, rehabilitation, and exercise programming for elite youth and adult athletes alike. Being born and raised on Vancouver Island, Kalen is passionate about the outdoors, staying active, and continuously progressing his ongoing education to incorporate new and relevant information into his practice to ensure an elevated standard of health care.
